A nice collection there Beastor, I bet that did cost you a pretty penny from Trident! Still at you have something to show for your money. :banghead:

I came VERY close to buying from Front of Russia again. Luckily I checked in on Trident for some 1970's Soviet gear and found they did XXL sizes for WW2 Ruski! A close call....

I think Trident do alot of TV work, and I am seeing more Americans doing Soviet WW2 also, hence the market for Soviet GPW kit in large sizes I suppose....

Lt. Morris Schaffer: "Second rate punk," eh?
Major John Smith: Sorry. All I could think of on the spur of the moment.
Lt. Morris Schaffer: Thanks, that makes it even worse.

One day we will have to run a really authentic WW2 military event - 8 hours of form filling and report filing.

"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"

I took delivery of a KDF83e repro. I say took delivery but I drove it from North London to North Lincolnshire.
Brilliant fun, the world is different at 50mph.

I honestly have not had so much fun behind a wheel in years.

I've been looking for one of those too! Where'd you bag it from?

In other shovel related news, I've just made two repro' infantry spades for usable display use (i.e: for digging sleeping pits and entrenchments with period looking gear, without scratching up or denting an original item)

From a re-enactor friend who got it at Beltring several years ago and had never used it.

This is the place to get all the best stuff. :)

Also today my ruskie stuff from Koliya1985 arrived, M43 gymnastiorka, Sharovari, Pilotka, Shoulder boards and gas mask bag. All nice, the fabric looks great but is softer than the real stuff I have or have seen. The gym fits my 17" neck tightly, arm length is good. The pilotka seems to be a perfect fit for my huge bonce. I've not tried the sharovari yet.

Got my M14 through!
Feels and looks great! (apart from the colour) Just charging the battery up to give it a test.
The hop seems really tight, I can't move it at all, but it may just need worked in. Anyone else have this issue?
